Off to Scotland today with Hetty to meet Camille. It is a really important meeting and I will find out whether she like the themes we have come up with and how much space she is willing to provide for the space.

This is the type of short projections/ animations I envisage to go into the Che Camille space

Prints & Patterns are in this S/S 08.

When at 'Elle Collections' one of the sections that I worked on was for there trends section... and a trend that "was hot on the s/s08 catwalk" was prints and patterns. Florals was a huge part of this and above is detail from a section I worked on.

I met Henrietta, a.k.a. Hetty, at London Fashion Week 07, and was very much interested in her concept behind the Hetty Rose brand. It is based on a theory of re-using and re-working vintage materials in a creative and sustainable way, hand making shoes to fit. Hetty Rose is a passionate bespoke footwear company with a clear brand philosophy; to make an environmental statement in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Che Camille:
The concept of Che Camille is based around an imaginary French Aunt who lives in a loft in NYC. As a child you visited her house and were fascinated by the characters dropping in for tea. Her house was decorated with captivating art and design objects. Che Camille is a House of Style.

☞ 1. NEW Project Summary

In the coming months Che Camille, a concept fashion store, will host Hetty Rose as a new designer to be launched into the boutique. During the residency, in addition to a show, the designer will be featured on the website, e-magazine and the work will be promoted in the store windows. The launch will involve an imaginative event/events in store (party with Hetty Rose art/work on display and in action), a celebration of shoes, creations, music and art. The launch will involve a strong promotional campaign to celebrate the shoes in Scotland but also be used to create awareness of the brand in London. A contemporary graphics based project will support the events and launch. Any images, information, access to workshop and shoe making process will be provided. The project will be fully supported by the designer, Henrietta Samuels.
